Ty Dillon is the son of former NASCAR driver Mike and Tina Dillon, The grandson of Richard Childress and the younger brother of current Camping World Truck Series driver Austin Dillon
Racing Career[]
Legends Dillon Began racing in 2006 where he earned two Bandoleros and Legends Chargers wins in his first year. The following year in 2007 he registered nine wins, 10 runner-up finishes and won Atlanta Semi-Pro Legends, Then in 2008 he recorded nine more wins in just 16 starts.
Late Models He made his move to late models in 2009 where he had 10 top 10s in 13 asphalt Late Model starts. He also included 11 dirt races between Modified and Late Models.
K&N Pro Series East In 2009 Dillon added a few K & N Pro Series East races where he recorded two top 10's in three starts. Dillon came back in 2010 running eight of the ten races adding two top 5's and four top 10's including one win at Gresham Motorsport Park.
Arca Series In 2010 Dillon made his move to the ARCA Re/Max Series running in three races finishing in the top 5 all three times, picking up his first win at Kansas Speedway. Dillon would win back to back scoring his second win in the season finale at Rockingham Speedway.
Nationwide Carreer On June 2 2012, Ty Dillion made his first carreer NASCAR Nationwide Series start at Dover International Raceway. He finished 4th and has not made a start since than.
