Steve Pfeifer (October 4, 1938 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from San Fransisco, CA. He competed in eight Sprint Cup Series events in his career.

Pfeifer's debut came during the 1978 season, when he competed at Ontario. Starting 39th in the field of forty, Pfeifer only completed half of the race before a battery problem dumped him to 32nd.

Pfeifer stepped it up to a three-race schedule during the 1979 season, starting the year off at Riverside. It was another tough race for Pfeifer as a fire issue left him 32nd. Following his West Coast struggles, Pfeifer tried his luck on the East Coast to close out his season. Yet he struggled regardless, finishing 30th at Charlotte and 34th at Atlanta due to a crash.

Pfeifer then wisely decided to stick to the West Coast races during the 1980 season, solely competing at Riverside. His season didn't go that well, with Pfiefer only completing 157 of the 214 possible laps in the races. He was 27th in January and 21st in June despite transmission woes.

Pfeifer's final two career starts came during the 1981 season, when he yet again competed in both Riverside races. Suspension woes hurt Pfeifer's chances in the January race, leaving him 24th. But Pfeifer salvaged something in the June race, racing from last place to finish in 14th position - a career best.
