Stafford Motor Speedway is a 1/2 mile asphalt oval in Stafford, CT. It is one of the most prestigious tracks in the Northeast and constantly hosts Whelen Modified Tour and K & N Pro Series East races. In fact, it has hosted (as of July 2009) twenty-nine East Series races and an astounding eighty-seven Modified Tour races.

The most notable driver to come from the track's local racing division is Ted Christopher, who has gone on to win one Whelen Modified Tour championship. He grew his talent by competing in the track's most famous division, the SK Modifieds. The SK Modifieds are essentially a lighter version of the NASCAR Modifieds and has developed its own identy despite often falling under the NASCAR banner for "featured division" for Local racing points competition.

As of 2009, Stafford remains under NASCAR sanction for the Whelen All-American Challenge Series and will host a number of Whelen Modified Tour events.
