Richard Brownlee is a former NASCAR driver from Greensboro, NC. He competed in eight Sprint Cup Series events in his career.
Brownlee debuted in 1954, when he raced at Grand Rapids. Starting positions in the twenty-five car field are unknown due to poor records, but Brownlee finished 19th after early mechanical woes.
However, the other seven events came in 1955. Despite only finishing in two of the races, Brownlee garnered five top-20s. His best career finish came twice: a pair of 11ths at Weaverville and Charlotte. He finished 57th in points before retiring.
