The NASCAR All-Star Race is an annual exhibition event held at North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina.
The event is open to race winners from the previous season as well as the current season, plus full-time drivers who have won the All-Star Race and drivers who have won the NASCAR Cup Series championship. Full-time drivers who are not eligible compete in the All-Star Open. Each driver that finishes in the top two in the Open or wins the fan vote will earn a spot in the All-Star Race. The All-Star Race has a unique format, which changes frequently. The current format consists of two 60 lap heat races to determine the starting lineup for the inside and outside rows, while the main event consists of 200 laps with a competition caution around lap 100. Teams start on sticker tires and have three sets in the pits. After the competition caution, teams will be allowed to use only one additional set of sticker tires.
The winner of the NASCAR All-Star Race receives $1,000,000.
