Mitchell Clark is a former NASCAR driver from Charlotte, NC. He competed in fourteen Nationwide Series events in his career, earning one top-ten.
Clark's debut came during the 1982 season, when he competed at Charlotte. Starting 36th in the field of forty, Clark completed all but ten laps in the race to run to a solid 19th place finish.
Clark stepped it up to a six-race schedule for the 1983 season, finishing 38th in the year end points. His year started off extremely well, with Clark earning a career-best 8th place finish at South Boston. But after that, Clark struggled. Four straight DNFs hurt his chances, finishing no better than 17th at Hickory during that horrid run which included a last (30th) place finish at Bristol. Clark finally found a good end to his season, closing up with a 14th place showing at Hickory.
Clark made four more starts during the 1984 season, though it was another tough outing for the driver. He failed to finish a single race, with three mechanical DNFs and one crash DNF. His best run during the year was just a 20th at Darlington, where his oil pump burst late. His efforts also included a 23rd and 28th at Rockingham and a 38th place crash at Charlotte.
Clark continued to scale down his schedule, only competing in two 1985 season races. Luckily, Clark finally found some stability, running 94.2% of his possible laps during the year. He started off the year with a solid 17th place finish at Rockingham and then also ran respectably to a 21st place effort at Charlotte.
Clark made his final career start during the 1986 season, when he competed one more time at Charlotte. It was a rough day, however, for Clark. He started 32nd and only lasted forty-four laps before a broken rear end gear left him in 39th.
