A mile is the name of a unit of length, usually used to measure distance. A mile is equal to 5280 feet, or approximately 1,609.347 metres.
All NASCAR races tend to be measured in miles. For example, the Coca-Cola 600', is 600 miles long. Exceptions are:
- Races at short tracks, where the race number is the number of laps
- Races at Infineon Raceway and Phoenix International Raceway tend to be measured in KMs. Those are usually shown by adding a "K" to the end of the race title. For example, "Save Mart/Kragen 350K."
