Jerry Oliver (January 18, 1944 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Concord, CA. He competed in nine Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning two top-tens.
Oliver's debut came in 1966, when he competed at Riverside. It was a respectable race for the driver, starting 40th and completing most of the laps to finish 20th. He was poised for a better finish until a shifter broke.
Oliver returned to Riverside in early 1967, expecting much better results. The results were indeed better for the young driver, as he was running at the finish to collect an 11th place finish and $800 in earnings.
Oliver again tried his hand at the track in early 1968, though this time the results simply did not come. Starting 39th in the field of forty-four, Oliver only made it up to 28th due to differential issues early in the race.
Oliver continued his one-off appearance at Riverside in early 1969, qualifying 26th for the January event. More mechanical issues sidelined the driver early as he finished 31st.
Oliver stepped it up to a two-race schedule in 1970, when the driver had a career-best 70th place finish in the standings. That was in large part due to some solid results, as he piloted his car to a 9th place finish in the January Riverside race and was in contention in the June event but finished 22nd due to an engine issue.
Oliver, though, wasn't done yet at Riverside, competing in both races at the track again in 1971. Engine issues would reappear for the driver in the January event, leaving him a disappointing 29th. But that struggle disappeared in his June finish, when Oliver completed all but eight laps to record a career-best 5th place finish.
Oliver's final career race came in 1972, when he competed again at Riverside. In fact, all of his career races came at Riverside. Starting 27th in the field of forty, Oliver just had a so-so race and wound up 22nd.
