Hardee’s is an American fast-food restaurant chain operated by CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. It has locations primarily in the Southern and Midwestern United States and serves hamburgers,

chicken products, French fries, soft drinks and other beverages.

Cup Series History:[]

Hardee’s entered the Cup Series in 1981, sponsoring the Harry Ranier-owned #28 Team. Bobby Allison drove for the team in 1981. After not sponsoring a team in 1982, Hardee’s returned to the #28 in 1983, this time driven by Cale Yarborough. They would continue to sponsor Yarborough and the #28 until 1986, while also sponsoring Alan Kulwicki for 5 races in 1985. In 1987, Hardee’s moved with Yarborough to his own team, and continued sponsoring the team after Yarborough moved to a partial schedule in 1988. Dale Jarrett would drive the Hardee’s #29 from 1988 through 1989, before Hardee’s left the Cup Series temporarily.

In 1994, Hardee’s returned to the Cup Series with Alan Dillard’s #31 Chevy team, driven by Ward Burton. They would continue to sponsor the team after Burton left in late 1995, with Greg Sacks, Jimmy Hensley and Gary Bradberry filling in. Hardee’s would once again leave the Cup Series and return in 1997, sponsoring Harry Ranier’s revitalized team with Greg Sacks driving, before leaving in mid-1997. They have not sponsored a Cup Series team since.

Xfinity Series History:[]

In the Xfinity Series, Hardee’s first sponsored Alan Kulwicki for 3 races in 1984 and Michael Ritch for 3 races in 1992. In 1993, Hardee’s sponsored the full season with Alan Dillards’ #2 team and Ward Burton driving.  Following 1993, Hardee’s has sponsored Jeff Burton, Denny Hamlin  and Austin Dillon in single races in 1999 and 2008.

Truck Series History:[]

In the Truck Series, Hardee’s has sponsored Toby Porter in 2 races in 1997 and Andy Houston in 1 race in 2002.
