Ed Baugess is a former NASCAR driver from Wilkesboro, NC. He competed in one Sprint Cup Series event and three Nationwide Series events in his brief career.

Cup Series[]

Baugess' lone Cup start came in late 1983, when he competed at North Wilkesboro. It was a tough race for the driver, starting 29th and finishing 30th (last place) after his engine gave in just thirteen laps into the race.

Nationwide Series[]

Baugess also made one Nationwide (then Busch Series) start in 1983, this time competed at Darlington. Starting 36th in the field of thirty-seven, Baugess again fell out of the race early, finishing 34th.

Baugess' other two starts in the series, both in 1984, went little better for the driver. He failed to finish either of the races, completing just twenty-two laps total on the year. Engine issues at Rockingham left him 34th and then ignition woes in his final career start (at Darlington) doomed him to 32nd.
