E.J. Brewer was a NASCAR driver from Winston-Salem, NC. His death was confirmed by a local fan but no official date can be found on any resource. He competed in six Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning one top-ten.
Brewer's debut came in 1957, when he competed at Lancaster. Starting 17th in the field of nineteen, Brewer only improved to 13th in the race due to a late engine failure.
Brewer's other five races came in 1958, when he started the year off at Hillsboro. Starting 10th in the field, Brewer completed all but seven laps in route to a career-best 7th place finish. Brewer began to struggle a bit in his next two races, but ended his career with solid finishes of 18th at Greensboro and 16th at Raleigh.
