Doc Faustina (Febraury 1, 1939 - ) is a former NASCAR driver from Las Vegas, NV. He competed in ten Sprint Cup Series events in his career and afterwards was an owner.
Driving Career[]
Faustina debuted in 1971, racing at Talladega. Starting 44th in the field of fifty, Faustina completed all but eighteen laps in route to a career-best 18th place finish. DNFs prevented him from bettering that in two others races that year, finishing 28th at Trenton and 30th at Texas World.
Faustina's biggest year was 1972, finishing 61st in points. But it was still a poor year for Faustina, failing to finish three of his five starts that year. As a result, Faustina cracked the top-twenty just once during the year: a 20th at Michigan.
After a two-year haitus, Faustina returned for a one-race deal in 1975, competing at Pocono. Starting last (35th) in the field, Faustina had mid-race ignition issues but still managed to finish 22nd.
His final race race came in 1976, competing at Dover. Starting 37th in the field of thirty-nine, Faustina had late ignition woes and finished 24th.
Owner Career[]
Faustina owned a number of cars during his career, competing in just ten races in his driving career but owner cars in thirty-six races for drivers like Jim Vandiver and James Hylton. His team cracked a top-ten finish just once: Dick Simon's 7th place effort at Talladega
