Chris Dimond is a former NASCAR driver from Bethelem, NC. He competed in thirteen Nationwide Series events in his career.
Diamond's initial forays came during the 1994 season, when he debuted at Hickory. It was a good start for the driver, finishing in 20th and only running eleven laps behind the pace. But mechanical woes hurt Diamond in his other two starts that year, finishing 32nd at Rougemont and 24th at Martinsville.
Diamond also shon a three-race schedule for the 1995 season. His season was quite horrible to be honest, with Diamond failing to finish a single race. He crashed to last place at Nashville to start the year, and would also crash to 32nd at IRP. His best run - a 30th at South Boston - would also be marked by an engine failure.
Diamond's lone 1996 race came at South Boston, though it proved to be a struggle for the driver. Starting 19th in the field of thirty-two, Diamond only lasted eighty-three laps before engine issues left him in 30th.
Diamond made his final six starts during the 1997 season, when he finished a career-high 65th in the points. For the most part, it was another rough season for the driver. Three crashes and two mechanical problems overwhelmed the driver, only allowing him to crack the top-thirty just once: a 20th place finish at South Boston. Otherwise, it was simply a miserable time, as Diamond's next best finish was a 31st at Gateway. His crashes came at Nashville (33rd), Milwaukee (34th), and Bristol (36th). His final career race came at California in September, with Diamond finishing 387th with a blown engine.
