Nascar in Poland.
How to why is Nascar in Poland?
It was beginning in 2006, where four drivers Robert Kubica, Patryk Mikiciuk, Bartosz Żółkoś and Kajetan Kajetanowicz were announced, which were confirm a races in Europe Series. #07 for Robert Kubica, #5 for Patryk Mikiciuk, #6 for Bartosz Żółkoś, and #32 for Kajetan Kajetanowicz. Right? Right!
Outdated!
Hey race fans, I am new here in Wikia and have noticed that many of the pages are outdated, or been copied from Wikipedia. I think we should change that! We may need many people to help. And also, add in Matt DiBennedetto, and other rookies and current drivers please. It will help a lot. Thanks!
Cleaning Up Stock Car Racing Wiki
I have come up with a comprehensive plan to clean up Stock Car Racing Wiki. I will personally follow the provided guidelines below. You do not have to follow the guidelines, but it would greatly speed up the rebuild process:
- 1. Update and make articles relating to 2014 and 2015 seasons
- 2. Create articles on all current missing information, including sponsors, races, and drivers.
- 3A. Clean up pages already on SCRW, such as updating information.
- 3B. Create Wikipedia redirects in articles for links to articles that do not exist on SCRW. If you plan to create the article in the near future, you do not have to make a Wikipedia redirect.
The are PERSONAL guidelines. You do not have to use them at all. I am just putting them out as a reference point.
I…

Brickyard to gain new Sponsor
NASCAR has announced that they are close to formulating a deal with the company Crown Royal to sponsor the Brickyard 400 beginning in 2012. Crown Royal has already announced that at the end of the season they will cease their sponsorship of Matt Kenseth and his number 17 car.
The Brickyard last year went unsponsored after the deal with Allstate ended in 2009. If the deal is signed, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway would earn $1.5 million dollars. It is expected that this sponsorship might be announced at this year's race which takes place on Sunday.
Are sponsorships of races something that is important to you?

Ochocinco's Summer Vacation Continues
First, he was Chad Johnson. Then, he became Chad Ochocinco. Since the NFL has been locked out, Mr. Ochocinco has entertained us and as some will claim has annoyed us with his various antics. ESPN frequently finds themselves dedicated segment upon segment on Chad Ochocinco.
From bull riding and soccer drive-outs, Chad Ochocinco now wants to experience what Nascar is all about. Courtesy of Jeff Burton, Ochocinco flew at speeds reaching 150 to 160 mph at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. Ochocinco was quoted by the Associated Press as saying
"he has interest in the sport as an owner - for a No. 85 car, of course - but not a driver because I'd lose every damn day."
What's next on the Ochocinco summer vacation checklist? He has mentioned that he has an i…
Ned Jarrett Honored at Indianapolis
Legendary driver Ned Jarrett, who is head of the legendary Jarrett family of racing which includes Dale Jarrett, Glenn Jarrett, and Jason Jarrett, was recently selected as a member of the 2011 NASCAR Hall of Fame Class. He was selected along with Bobby Allison, Bud Moore, David Pearson, and Lee Petty.
The UPS team has decided to honor Jarrett by using a car based on his 1965 championship-winning Ford Galaxie. The car will be driven by current driver David Ragan at the upcoming Brickyard 400. The car will also feature retro white wheels with the UPS logo until the team's first pit stop.
Jarrett was quoted as saying,
"David Ragan is a fine young man who has a great knowledge of NASCAR history and tradition and I'm honored that he and UPS have…
K & N Pro Series - 2010 Preview Extravaganza
After the bite the economy took out of NASCAR’s premier developmental series, the K & N Pro Series (last year known as the Camping World Series), in 2009, 2010 will be a year of great change for both the East and West divisions. The story of this year overall will be the new faces we are going to see in 2010 – some raw young talents you’ve likely never heard of, some descended from racing greatness, and some coming to NASCAR after open-wheel success. These young drivers will be forces to be reckoned with in the Pro Series this year, and look for at least one of the divisions to crown a champion younger than 21. Sadly, the economic turmoil and the resulting sea change in the competition level in the Pro Series will also likely leave several…

The Third Turn Announces 2010 Goals
Greetings readership! After a very busy 2009, I am sincerely looking forward to wearing myself out even more to dredge up some rare and exciting stock car racing history. While working with these statistics is honestly very tiring, I feel that I have already been rewarded in a sense both by the ever-growing list of our accomplishments and some kind feedback by a number of fans.
With 2009 behind us, we are pleased to announced what we will be working on in 2010!
- 1 Series We Will Continue To Cover
- 2 Series We Hope to Finish in 2010
- 3 Series We NEED HELP WITH
- 4 Series We Will Start & (Hopefully) Finish in 2010
These series will have results added as soon as possible from the publication of official results:
- Canadian Tire Series
- Corona Mexico Series
- ASA Mi…
Opinions: NASCAR Local Racing Champions Week
Hello readership! Glad to be home after a very long night Saturday (though my twenty-minute drive home compares little to the Bruncati's eight-hour round trip home to California). I was fortunate enough to be invited this year to both the 2009 Whelen All-American Series Awards Banquet and the 2009 Night of Champions Touring Awards Gala, the two banquets that honored champions from the NASCAR lower ranks this year. I would highly suggest you visit the "blue links" I just passed along to view all the facts, recaps, quotes, and photos from these fine events (though be forewarned it will probably take a few days for those pages to be properly finished and formatted). This blog will cover witty observations and opinions from those two nights; h…
DGD: Steve Carlson
My blog here, The Spotter's Stand, for the forseeable future will be theme "D@mn Good Drivers", as I try to point out to many new (and even old) NASCAR fans some great drivers who you've probably never heard of but, in my humble opinion, are still among the all-time greats.
I'm kicking it off with one of the all-time legends in the Midwest, a driver by the name of Steve Carlson who has been a short-track terror for just over thirty years. A member of the over-fifty crowd, Carlson continues to add accomplishment after accomplishment onto his resume with every passing year.
This year alone, Carlson captured his first ASA Midwest Tour championship, overcoming sponsorship issues that made him miss a race to record four victories and nine top-ten…
NASCAR's Absolutely Correct Decision
I haven't agreed with every decision that NASCAR has made recently. I'm not a big proponent of the Chase, nor am I that happy about the "wave around" option for the double file restarts. But the new change in starting times for 2010 is certainly a great move.
I remember just a few years ago, watching the Daytona 500 pre-race show starting at around noon and the race starting around 1 pm. The end of the race wasn't as perfectly staged as those of previous years but think about this years race.
If this year's Daytona 500 had been started at 1:15 or so instead of 3:15, then the race quite possibly would've been completed by the end of the day and a driver more deserving than Matt Kenseth would've won the race. (I'm not saying Matt Kenseth isn't…

Wait, What? - Dover
So this weeks set of races was quite interesting in the very least (well the accidents were anyway) and there are many things that I learned by watching.
The NCWTS race was decent. The series is so watered down that there are only around 15 trucks that are actually competitive enough to stay on the lead lap by lap 50. The race started off well--there was some pretty good racing for awhile for the first few spots. And then when it started to spread out things went sour. SPEED's coverage is pretty bad at looking past the leaders and covering battles of trucks that are out of the top 10. I was surprised how long Rick Crawford stayed in the lead when he eventually went down a lap later in the race. I feel bad for Ricky Carmichael for giving up …
Don't Be Hating Loudon
So I have noticed on many NASCAR web sites that "insiders" have placed New Hampshire Motor Speedway on their list of races to kick out of the Chase.
Last week, the track had a sell-out, which in these tough economic times is definitely difficult to do. No, the race wasn't absolutely exciting, but what race is? I found the roung of green flag pit stops with about 50 laps to go last week was really entertaining and interesting. However, the double file restarts really screwed second place and discouraged battling for the lead. This really made the end seem anti-climactic.
I would also like to add that ESPN did a poor job showing all of the racing on the track last Sunday. I watch most of the races on NASCAR RaceView and it adds an interesting …
08.20.2009 - Handicapping the NASCAR Touring Championship Battles
While competition at the highest levels of NASCAR continue to suffer both from the poor economic climate and the infamous Car of Tomorrow, this year's championship battles down at the NASCAR Touring echelon continue to thrill followers and draw large crowds to local tracks. This high level of competition has kept many of these NASCAR series healthy during a period of time where lower-level sports organizations go on hiatus or close altogether.
Today, I'm going to review these exciting battles and predict a winner for each series title. Since 2003, at least one NASCAR Touring title has been determined by less than ten points. If you're a supporter of local racing, send a message and go to the final few races of these series.

07.07.09 - Give Mikey Credit
I know a lot of people over the last few years have really dogged Michael Waltrip about his inability to perform on the track. True, Michael was never the most successful driver and has not even been a remote threat since leaving Dale Earnhardt, Inc.. But watching today while Martin Truex, Jr. was announced to take the #56 ride while Michael settles into semi-retirement, I began to truly appreciate what Waltrip has done over the last five years.
We have seen many of the sport's best drivers - Ricky Rudd, Darrell Waltrip, and Bill Elliott - struggle as recently as the mid-1990s to accomplish their normal level of success. Ten years later, the cost of doing business has greatly escalated and it seems nearly impossible that an owner-driver wil…
6.20.09: The Long And Whining Road
I was unable to make the trip to Sonoma this weekend, but it was great fun to watch the West Series race as it happened on Racing West (check out their weekend photos by the way). But it ended awfully - Patrick Long and Joey Logano made contact coming out of Turn 11. Logano spun, Long was penalized, and Jason Bowles was declared the winner.
I am constantly amazed at the amount of similiar finishes we see in the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series. I have felt, considering the road course races in the last three years in the series, that bump-and-runs and chrome horns are more common on road courses than on today's short tracks. While it does add another level of unpredictability in races where we literally see just about everything, the…
