Blake Mallory, born March 2, 1980 is a former NASCAR driver from Joshua, TX. He was a part-time fixture in the sport from 2002-2005, competing in both the Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series. Before joining NASCAR, Mallory won eight GoKart races and 4 IMCA Late Model Races in the mid-1990s.
Busch Series[]
Mallory completed in three Busch events in his career, all coming in 2003. Mallory debuted at Milwaukee, driving the #39 Jay Robinson Racing entry. Starting 30th in the field, Mallory completed all but 18 laps before falling out late and finishing 32nd. His good debut allowed for Mallory to race for Bost Motorsports at Kansas where he finished 37th after an engine issue. Mallory closed out his Busch career by finishing 40th for JRR at Atlanta with engine woes.
Craftsman Truck Series[]
Mallory began his career in NASCAR in 2002, joining forces with Ware Racing Enterprises at ORP. Starting 33rd in the #51 Dodge, Mallory had a solid race. He would finish 21st, just four laps off the pace. As a result, Mallory landed a ride with MacDonald Motorsports at Phoenix. He started that race 34th, fell nine laps off the pace and came home 27th.
Mallory did a hodgepodge of rides in 2003 in addition to his Busch Series schedule. An engine problem would lead him to 31st at Memphis while driving for Green Light Racing. Two races midseason with MRD Motorsports led to a career best start of 21st at Gateway and a year best finish of 23rd at Nashville. His last showing of the season came at Texas, where he drove the #51 Ware Dodge to a 24th place finish.
Mallory only appeared one more time following the busy 2003 season, coming in 2005 at Texas. Driving for Mighty Motorsports, Mallory started last (36th) and only moved to 34th before his engine gave at midway. He has not raced in NASCAR since.
