Black Lives Matter (abbreviated to BLM) is a political and social movement that was created to end discrimination against black people. It was founded in July of 2013 after George Zimmerman was acquitted following the death of Trayvon Martin over a year prior.
In 2020, BLM sponsored Bubba Wallace at Martinsville in the midst of the political chaos after George Floyd's death.
