Billy McGinnis is a former NASCAR driver from Griffin, GA. He competed in three Sprint Cup Series events in his career.

McGinnis' debut came in 1976, when he competed at his home track of Atlanta. Starting 25th in the field of thirty-six, McGinnis only lasted fifteen laps before an engine issue left him 34th.

McGinnis then returned to Atlanta for his next race, coming in late 1977. Starting 33rd in the field of forty, McGinnis this time completed most of the race and was in line for a great finish until he was invovled with the final crash and finished 14th. It would still be his career best.

And once again, McGinnis' lone race in 1978 would also come at Atlanta. Starting last (40th) in the field, McGinnis managed to complete a little more than half of the race before ignition issues left him 28th.
