Stock Car Racing Wiki

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series was the 76th season of the NASCAR Cup Series. The season began with the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway on February 19 and ended with the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race at Phoenix Raceway on November 10.

Joey Logano won his third Cup Series championship with 4 wins, 7 Top 5s, 13 Top 10s and 3 poles. He became the tenth driver to win three or more Cup Series championships. Logano won the championship on the strength of his performance during the playoffs, where he produced 3 of his 4 wins, 3 of his 7 Top 5s, and 5 of his 13 Top 10s. This was Team Penske's fifth championship in the Cup Series and 11th NASCAR national series championship. It was also Paul Wolfe's third championship.

The season was notable for being the final full-time season for Martin Truex, Jr., as well as the final season for Stewart-Haas Racing. Kyle Busch's streak of 19 straight years with at least one victory ended this season. It was also the final season that FedEx sponsored Denny Hamlin's No.11 team, ending an association with Joe Gibbs Racing that began in 2005, as well as the final season that Kroger sponsored JTG Daugherty Racing, ending a partnership that began in 2009.
