The 2001 New England 300 was a Winston Cup (now Sprint Cup) event held at New Hampshire International Speedway on July 22, 2001. Dale Jarrett won his fourth and final race of the year, holding off Jeff Gordon by a little more than half a second. Despite still being tied with Gordon for the points lead, Jarrett had the upper hand because he had more wins than Gordon.
