The 1993 Winston Cup Series was the 45th season of the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. The season began with the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway and ended with the Hooters 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Dale Earnhardt of the #3 GM Goodwrench Chevrolet was champion with 6 wins and 17 top 5's making it his 6th career championship in his 15th full-time season. It was Richard Childress Racing's fifth championship and Andy Petree's first championship as a crew chief.

Rusty Wallace won 10 races, but did not have the same level of consistency Earnhardt had through the season, and finished 80 points behind him at the conclusion of the final race,

1993 is considered to be the first full season for the "Generation 4" era car, a generation which lasted until the 2007 season. It was the first season with a race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the first season since 1984 to contain 30 races. Electronic Scoring was first used at the race at Sears Point Raceway in May.

It was also unexpectedly the final season for 1992 champion Alan Kulwicki and Davey Allison, both of whom died in aviation accidents.
