The 1991 Budweiser At The Glen was a NASCAR Winston Cup Series race held August 11, 1991, at Watkins Glen International. Embattled driver Ernie Irvan was able to pull away from the field to win his second win of the season in a race marred by tragedy. Meanwhile, Ricky Rudd was successfully able to shrink Dale Earnhardt's point lead to 108 points.

Terry Labonte won his first pole since the 1988 season for this race, qualifying at a track record 122 mph. Mark Martin joined him on the outside pole, while points leader Dale Earnhardt qualified eighth. Ernie Irvan started third.

Means was OK and tried to help safety workers get to McDuffie, who lost his life in the crash. It is believed that he had massive head injuries during the crash and may have been decapitated by a pole.
