The 1982 Wrangler Sanfor-Set 400 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Richmond International Raceway on September 12, 1982. Bobby Allison won from the pole in dominating fashion, leading 265 of the 400 laps in route to a 17-second victory on Tim Richmond. Allison continued to hold a large 147-point championship lead on Darrell Waltrip (3rd). Stats
