The Race::1980 G.I. Joe's/Heidelberg Portland 200 was a Winston West Series (now known as the ) event held at Track::Portland Speedway on August 10, 1980. Winston Cup Series star Bobby Allison stole the show, holding off eventual season champ Roy Smith for the victory by some two laps. Allison led all but the first fifteen laps of the race.
