The 1975 Capital City 500 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Richmond International Raceway on October 12, 1975. Darrell Waltrip dominated the latter stages of the race, leading 125 of the 500 laps in route to a one-lap victory on Lennie Pond. Richard Petty finished last (28th) after an engine issue but still held a 827-point championship lead on James Hylton (6th). Stats
