The 1973 Capital City 500 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Richmond International Raceway on September 9, 1973. Richard Petty dominated the race, leading 429 of the 500 laps in route to a two-lap victory on Cale Yarborough. Eventual season champ Benny Parsons registered a 4th place effort. Stats]
