The 1971 Old Dominion 500 was a Winston Cup Series (now Nextel Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on September 26, 1971. Bobby Isaac dominated the event, leading 445 of 500 laps and besting Bobby Allison by more than a lap. 1971 champion Richard Petty would finish 3rd.
