The 1970 Capital City 500 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Richmond International Raceway on September 13, 1970. Richard Petty dominated the event, leading 488 of the 500 laps in route to a two-lap victory on Bobby Allison. Eventual season champion Bobby Isaac finished 4th. Stats
