The 1968 Atlanta 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup Series) event held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on March 31, 1968. Cale Yarborough dominated the event, leading 172 of the 334 laps in route to a nine-second victory on LeeRoy Yarbrough. Eventual 1968 champion David Pearson finished 31st after a crash. Stats
