The 1965 Atlanta 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on April 11, 1965. Marvin Panch dominated the event, leading 249 of the 334 laps in route to a two-second victory on Bobby Johns. It was Panch's first win of the year. Eventual season champ Ned Jarrett finished 3rd.
