The 1964 Capital City 300 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Richmond International Raceway on September 14, 1964. Cotton Owens, making his first start of the year, lead just 54 of the 300 laps but pulled away to a one-lap victory on David Pearson, Owens' final career triumph.
