The 1961-34 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Columbia Speedway on July 20, 1961. Cotton Owens squeaked past Junior Johnson with a few laps to go and kept Johnson at bay for his fourth and final victory of the year. Eventual season champ Ned Jarrett finished 3rd. Stats
