The 1955-40 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Memphis-Arkansas Speedway on October 9, 1955. Speedy Thompson won his first race of the year, leading 158 of the 200 laps in route to a three-quarter lap victory on Marvin Panch. Eventual season champ Tim Flock finished 4th. Stats
