The 1950-17 was a Grand National (now Monster Energy Cup) event held at Martinsville Speedway on October 15, 1950. Herb Thomas won his first ever race, leading 135 of the 200 laps en route to a one-lap victory on Lee Petty. Eventual season champ Bill Rexford did not compete in the event. Stats
