The 1949-05 was a Strictly Stock (now Monster Energy Cup) event held at Hamburg Speedway on September 18, 1949. Jack White, in just his first career start, led 66 of the 200 laps in route to victory over Ray Erickson. Eventual season champ Red Byron did not run the event. The race was run on the same day as the Langhorne event, thus explaining why Byron did not compete. Stats
