The 1948 Rayson Memorial is the 1st race of the 1948 NASCAR Modified National Championship season event, held at the Daytona Beach Road Course on February 15, 1948. It was the first ever NASCAR-sanctioned race. Red Byron won the race, holding off Marshall Teague and the rest of the field of fifty.
