It was once a shared experience, watching NASCAR on ESPN, feeling the thrill of every turn and burn as we witnessed history in the making. However, everything changed when NASCAR announced its new seven-year media rights agreements with partners FOX Sports, NBC Sports, Amazon’s Prime Video, and TNT Sports, set to provide live coverage of all 38 NASCAR Cup Series races beginning in 2025 and extending through 2031. This decision has not disclosed its financial terms, but it means that racing enthusiasts like you and me need to turn away from ESPN, a beloved platform that has catered to NASCAR fans for years, to other platforms including NBC and The CW. But it doesn't have to be this way. The beauty of these media rights agreements is that they're negotiable. With enough public sway, we can influence these decisions and bring NASCAR back to the ESPN. ESPN provides comprehensive coverage, intense discussions around every race, and has the power to make every moment feel monumental. This is not just about a channel switch—it's about preserving the integrity of NASCAR's fan experience, keeping it accessible and enjoyable for all viewers. By bringing NASCAR back to ESPN, we not only make this sport more accessible to the thousands of fans already tuning in to ESPN, but we also keep the legacy of NASCAR alive. So let's stand together and ask NASCAR and ESPN to consider returning to their original broadcasting partnership. You know we can't have 2 Countdown to Greens at the same time! And, if you believe in this cause, please sign the petition to help bring NASCAR back to ESPN. (https://chng.it/njM7n4N4D6)

I always thought Jeff Gordon was amazing for continuing to run even though he got bumped on the right side.
Kazuteru Wakida
It may sound bad, but I think Kazuteru had the most humble way of getting into trouble among the Japanese drivers who got into trouble.
Keiichi Tsuchiya
After this crash, Tsuchiya complained of severe shoulder pain, which really reminded us of the horror of crashes in car racing.
It's hard for this wiki to grow when one of the only active users gets demoted for stuff he didn't even do on this wiki.

Hello
I would like to obtain bureaucratic rights via the adopt-a-wiki program. I have been an administrator on this site for several years but was never appointed as a bureaucrat. It has been awhile since there had been any active bureaucrats on the wiki, so I feel like it would be in the wikis best interest if I became bureaucrat as I would be able to promote other users to admin.
In order for the adoption request to be successful, I am going to need the community to vote on this matter.
On a second note, I think I do owe an apology to CaptainDabsalot. I understand that he was in process of adopting the wiki last year when I came back. I am not sure if that was the reason for his own adoption request not going through, but if it was I am greatly sorry for that.
What is the name of the person who lowers the green flag to start the race?
